This is great read, Louise. You’ve keyed in on Kamala’s strengths and how she could, and should, use them to her advantage. The sooner the better. Looking forward to your follow-up.
Until I read this, I was of the cut bait and move on crowd, in regards to her, but you've almost got me convinced. I'll have to think on this more.
But she has had her stumbles. Even in interviews. And the leaked stuff about not reading her team's background info, which I tend to believe given her stumbles, still has me worried.
She needs to be on TV more, doing interviews, showing off her intellect and skills (and thus disproving both the stories and lack of faith many have in her).
Again, great read. You've given me a lot to ponder on this one.
Fantastic! This is by far one of your absolute best pieces. Truly. I've been so irritated by the "Kamala Harris is bad" vibes everywhere. It's disgusting. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this very insightful, well-informed writing.
Wow… that’s some feat. To write something so longwinded yet managing to get every single point upside down, back to front and wrong takes some doing. I really, seriously considered you wrote it as a satire. A satire of all the Rachel Maddowesque ignoramuses who make up the stenographers, oops I mean “media” and how so completely and catastrophically wrong their takes always prove to be. Oh well, maybe next time. I expected better from you Louise. You’ve obviously been in too many Liberal media Green rooms and only ever see black is white and up is down, along with all the copium consumed.
Brilliant job of dissecting the silent manipulation of the dems. I admire your optimism on Kamala and thank you for clarifying why she has been sequestered this year. I'll be forwarding this to some major voices and Louise, keep on trucking, keep on writing, this is what we need.
one of the most insane things i've ever read. "Kamala Harris is African American"- no she is not lol, but i can understand you just see any black person and they're all the same to you. I implore you to go talk to communities of color or "impoverished districts where crime is high" and see if "my administration will give you more police on the streets" is a winning message, i can promise you they will laugh in your face, and the fact you believe that is proof of the fantasy world you're living in. But the thing is you don't actually care about those communities. This article should've been titled "how to make middle class white people more comfortable" cause thats the only thing your great ideas will accomplish, and ya know that might just win you elections, which is really all you care about and whatever happens to those communities is largely irrelevant to you. if i was paying to read this i would go blind
Spot on, as always, Louise. Kamala is an extraordinay woman who defies easy definition. A ticket led by her with, say, Swalwell could be compelling IMO.
Louise, do you think that Assange will get extradited in the coming months? what is the next step with him? I assume that after we see traction with some of the "connecting the dots", we might hear more from our beloved MVP...
I was at Kamala's announcement day in Oakland, and I have never turned from being behind her 100% ever since and prior to that beautiful day. And I knew that she was on the ticket the day she dropped out.
She will be the next president. I should head to Nevada and put some dime on her if they have that kind of thing...

Thank you :) I really believe Kamala is all the admin needs if delivered right
Wow. So powerful and original.

I'm a Kamala Harris fan, so I love this!

Or is it Putin’s fault?
I look forward to the day when Kamala can go on the Rachel Maddow show again and speak about justice.
Yes, that’ll definitely be something.

"obama was never gansta enough" wtf is wrong with you
I don't mean that in a derogatory way. He maintained a respectful position. Did you see the Frontline episodes?
I'm from Oakland, that's what's wrong with me.
