Your “news” is fundamentally different from what I read (spread across 8 countries - mostly European).

I’ll leave your description of “success” at the border and the trip to Guatemala to your readers.

To say we live in an #Upsidedown world with news like this, is to scream the obvious.

I used to fight this. Now I just exit the particular space and let the remaining folks have at it.

Best of luck (not really).

I always question "well, what should be done?" It has been made to be seen as insurmountable (probably for some nefarious reason, lol) , but you provided some really valid and promising ideas. The first I have read that make sense.

"Insurmountable" isn't really in the American vocabulary, is it :)

This blog post needs attention from VP Harris' staff. Send this to them. lobby her staff for exactly what you wrote....this is part of hiring people to deal with adapting to climate change. US gov. needs to hire more people at the border with Mexico because of the consequences of climate migration that result in human trafficking, family separation, etc. etc.

Also, this needs a complete PR campaign to broadcast it wide and often.

Repeat this on every media opportunity.

Hire more people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope so. The key piece is adding many more enforcement officers while simultaneously reforming the force :)

Yes. Just posted something to your new post. Looks like Biden canned the old CBP Director & brought in one of his. ☺️

Excellent piece.

I'd love to see it, I think she can do great things for this country and it's people.

Can't wait to help in any way I can in 2024!
