I just finished reading The 19th* News(letter) where they were talking all about the Lincoln Project and their issues. Mainly, they laid out the where money came from, how much, and who got what. Interesting... Yes! Rick Wilson is a good guy and definitely deserves money. The others and the amounts are suspect but we shall see how that shakes out. Schmidt just resigned tonight. I hope they can get over the Weaver thing and be okay. They are indeed valuable to us all. Thanks for this.

Natalie thank you and obviously I agree completely. A slightly more normal Trump = disaster. LP had an audience of one and they triumphed into controlling the conversation of the man who controls the conversation

EXACTLY. Thank you, Louise. Investigation into any malfeasance by LP founders essential. But it seems a very orchestrated attack on LP & I am curious about that.

Oh, it reeks. Weaver should face all the consequences and it's good they are looking for a woman, I would suggest Molly Jong Fast or Ana Navarro, someone like that. But Weaver's malfeasance doesn't change the basics of this great and important work - worth every donated dollar. Crucial to victory.

Thanks for this. Louise. Lincoln Project made all the difference in 2020, and their detractors now cheer the fact (gasp) that no organization is without faults and necessary corrections. Meanwhile, with an near-guatanteed Senate acquital (which Trump will of course falsely refer to as 'exoneration') the battlefield moves on to the real work of bringing Trump to justice. Key are people like Mueller's consiglieri, Andrew Weissmann. It is not just coincidental that (a) GA election fraud suit against T has started already and (b) Trump these days is ressembling Tony Soprano nervous about RICO predicates.

Yes - and you know Georgia is one state that Project Lincoln likely swung by making Trump say toxic

Yes. As you know, Project Lincoln won the Senate for Democrats by inserting in Trump's mind the cray idea that by pushing his own Big (Stolen Election) Lie in GA, he could wreck revenge on disloyal MItch. Republicans in rural counties stay away, being told all elections in GA are rigged. Project Lincoln know thar Trump is driven solely by revenge, and they manipulate T by steering that revenge instinct.

One of your absolute best pieces yet. I think people don't understand, just as you point out, how razor thin the win was for Joe Biden. Scarily razor thin. Like the stuff of nightmares razor thin. I can not even contemplate a second term of Donald.

I agree with you, Louise. I gave maybe $100 to LP in a couple donations, which is not even a pittance for TV advertising, but I wanted to show my appreciation for their efforts. I am a life long Democrat, and their ads reflected my faith in America. It felt good to be on the same side. Weaver should and will be exposed and held accountable. As for other issues, let them hash it out and become better for it.

As a Dem, I am used to seeing Dems eat their own and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As LP says over and over we are one election away from authoritarianism. It is utterly tragic to see the most effective anti-Trump organization crumbling after playing a vital role in Trump’s defeat. The experience and expertise that brought about that outcome is going to be extremely difficult to recreate. They had a unique talent set and stature. Their paper outlining their goals for 2021 was excellent and IMO their success at execution is vital for the country. I have been a pretty decent donor and supporter. I have doubts about their ability to execute their plan now. Its tragic.

Lincoln Project was instrumental in preventing a complete & utter disaster. Hats off to them despite their all too human qualities.
