The impending trial will definitely yield more unsavory details about Andrew & his ties to Maxwell and Epstein. Hoping the Queen decides to rip the bandaid off now to clear a smooth transition for when Charles inevitably takes the throne. It would be of great service to insure no more attempts on Andrew’s behalf, to diminish the monarchy. He has always managed to elude the full stench of Maxwell. This won’t last as he has retained the services of an extradition lawyer, as reported more than a year ago. He must know he is vulnerable. Stripping Andrew of his title, makes it easier to take it away from Meghan, who seems intent on playing for the sympathies of the American media. It seems she will have more damage to this monarchy than Wallace Simpson. It is difficult to comprehend why she would enter into a marriage with a royal, knowing what would be expected. Sometimes it’s a lingering question about what her motives were going in. The interview with Oprah was cringeworthy to say the least. It is difficult to have sympathy. Harry has been in the military and applauded for his service. It’s sad to see that good will impacted by his current behavior. Truly seems devoid of any respect for the legacy and family he was blessed to be born into. Truly sad.

I agree with both your points. Meghan is still a Princess and an HRH who just isn't allowed to use the titles. But they have to go, and they can't really be taken away while Andrew retains his rank.

Also, the Palace needs to understand exactly how bad the Ghislaine trial is going to be for them. Charles will be acting foolishly if he allows his brother to remain a Prince when that trial starts

I have been talking to 3 friends who live in London and British Isles and all three have reiterated your same talking points. One friend lives near extended members of family and was explaining how distressing and angering this has been. Meghan in their opinion, has used the media with the racist accusation to tarnish the crown. They do not believe that she was a victim in all of this but found a sympathetic media in America to set up a good vs evil narrative. Their views are that she brought drama into her role and they see her as disruptive. They have zero regard for Andrew as well. The sympathy card is not there for Meghan & it isn’t about race. The word used by my one friend was “entitlement” and sometimes as an American, I can understand and see that. These last 5 years have been fraught with so many problems and worse, have exposed the way in which some media outlets have failed to cover serious topics with unbiased slants. Outlets once highly regarded, have revealed themselves more interested in ratings or clicks. That’s the lens I view the Oprah interview.... Oprah could have challenged Harry and Meghan with pointed and fact driven questioning. She could have asked for clarification or questioned The couple on easily provable facts. She did not. She used her voice to create an interview designed to portray Meghan as a victim & as a sympathetic person. It felt derivative and manipulative. It was not at all anything other than scripted drama. As I said before, it was cringeworthy. My husband had the same feeling. W/zero interest in the subject, his response was in form of question as to why Harry would agree to tarnish the royal family and lower himself like a tabloid subject instead of carrying himself with more dignity. Airing dirty laundry is akin to our reality show Kardashian ilk, a shallow and vacuous family, which is an embarrassment to many of us who refuse to accept that these people represent what American culture is.
